
Calvert Climate Shareholder Resolutions
So far in 2007, we have filed six and co-filed one shareholder resolution on climate change. Our resolution with ACE was withdrawn due to a company challenge at the SEC; a repeat of our 2006 resolution with Bed, Bath & Beyond is going to a vote. The following five resolutions were withdrawn successfully after the companies agreed to take appropriate action:

In 2006, we co-filed two resolutions asking the following companies to develop an energy efficiency strategy:
Bed, Bath & Beyond (co-filed, resolution received a 28% vote)
Standard Pacific (co-filed, resolution received a 39% vote)
In 2005, we filed climate resolutions at the following companies:
Allergan
Analog Devices
Avery Dennison
Newell Rubbermaid
All four of these resolutions were withdrawn after the companies agreed to take appropriate actions.
As of May 31, 2007, Bemis Company, Inc. represented 0.04% of the Calvert Social Index Fund; Hartford Financial Services Group represented 0.26% of Calvert Social Investment Fund (CSIF) Balanced Portfolio, 0.24% of the Calvert Variable Series, Inc. (CVS) Social Balanced Portfolio, 0.50% of CSIF Enhanced Equity Portfolio, 0.40% of the Calvert Social Index Fund, and 1.46% of Calvert Large Cap Growth Fund; Prudential Financial represented 0.24% of the CSIF Balanced Portfolio, 0.35% of the CSIF Bond Portfolio, 0.35% of the CVS Social Balanced Portfolio, 0.60% of the Calvert Social Index Fund, 0.85% of the Calvert Large Cap Growth Fund and 0.09% of the Calvert Short Duration Fund; Teradyne represented 0.04% of the Calvert Social Index Fund; and Wells Fargo represented 0.40% of the CSIF Balanced Portfolio, 0.34% CVS Social Balanced Portfolio, 0.72% of the CSIF Enhanced Equity Portfolio and 1.39% of the Calvert Social index Fund.
As of May 31, 2007, Bed, Bath & Beyond represented 0.04% of the Calvert Social Investment Fund (CSIF) Balanced Portfolio, 1.50% of the CSIF Equity Portfolio, 0.14% of the Calvert Social Index Fund, 0.94% of the Calvert Large Cap Growth Fund, and 1.49% of the Calvert Variable Series, Inc. (CVS) Social Equity Portfolio; and Standard Pacific Corporation represented 0.01% of the Calvert Social Index Fund.
As of May 31, 2007, Allergan inc. represented 0.23% of the Calvert Social Index Fund and 0.77% of the Calvert Large Cap Growth Fund; Analog Devices represented 0.15% of the Calvert Social Index Fund; and Avery Dennison represented 0.08% of the Calvert Social Index Fund.
